Annyeong-haseyo! Hello!

My name is Meghan Thomas, I'm from Batavia, Ohio in the U.S, and I am--as my blog title states--a small town girl! Batavia is a small town outside Cincinnati in Southwest OH. I just graduated from Rollins College (greatest school ever!!) in Winter Park, FL with a B.A in English and a minor in Spanish. I'm a family girl; totally obsessed with my three little sisters, my parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. I have a huge, crazy family and I can count on every one of them :).

Clockwise: Me, my sister Tori, step-dad Steve, mom Melissa, sister Jossi, sister Alli
L-R: Me, my dad Dwane, my sister Tori

My dog Maggie
Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, I feel I must divulge a secret... I am incredibly technologically challenged! I can't believe I managed to figure out how to even create a blog!! As you can imagine, I therefore needed an excellent reason to put in the effort. And the reason is good :)

I have received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to travel to South Korea and teach English for a year. I leave this Friday afternoon. I am soooo psyched, nervous, excited, scared, and proud rolled into one. After quite a few people commanding me to keep them updated about all that I will be doing, I decided to create a blog. So, here it is, the blog of a small town girl about to embark on a big world adventure!!
